It takes a lot of courage to acknowledge financial distress and seek help, but the process of going about it can seem. How should grants be filled out? How to successfully create a plan for resilience? That’s where we come in. Join us on the 25 May at 12 noon for useful information about how to improve financial resilience, as well as apply for a grant through Seafarers Hospital Society.
Tina Barnes is the Head of Impact at The Seafarers’ Charity, and is responsible for developing grant funded solutions for seafarers. She joined the charity in 2017 as the Grants Manager. Since joining The Seafarers’ Charity Tina has led two welfare research projects on the UK commercial fishing industry – Fishing for a Future and Fishing Without a Safety Net. The findings of the research were then used to develop the Safety Net programme for fishing families, including access to a credit union and a range of financial capability initiatives (www.fishingsafetynet.co.uk).
